Christmas shopping is one of my absolute favorite things about the holidays, but it can certainly get can get pricey. There are a ton of people I want to give something but without investing a ton — the mailman, teachers, coaches, etc.
One of my go-to solutions for affordable Christmas gifts is to create homemade ornaments — not pipe cleaner and popsicle stick ornaments . . . actual beautiful ornaments people can be proud to hang on their tree. In many cases my son can contribute to these ornament crafts which also makes them a perfect gift option for him. We have fun making them together while saving money and gift giving at the same time!
Here are five of my favorite ornament crafts. I’ve made most of them myself and they are super easy and look fabulous!
Click each ornament type for full instructions. Enjoy! 🙂
Use a page from your favorite book, a sheet of music, or a picture.
Another idea: When Nolan was very young, I had him finger paint on a piece of paper which I cut into strips and used this same concept.
When done properly, you’d never know these are homemade! There are so many color options which makes them easily customizable to whoever you’re giving them too. Or let your kiddo pick the colors for whoever they are gifting them to.
A fantastic option for families with young children! And an option parents will probably want to keep one of their own to remember those sweet little hands. 🙂
How fun are these?! And, unlike these other options, these are not breakable!
You can have your ornament and eat it too! This is a cute option that couples as a charming ornament and a festive beverage.
