Every month I share some of my favorite things from the last month. Here are some things I loved through the month of October
1) Pirate’s Booty
WHERE has this been all my life? Oh, I know — it’s been in literally every grocery store’s chip aisle and I’ve been walking right past it. Why?? I have no idea because it is a-freaking-mazing.
It’s not quite popcorn, but not quite rice-cakey either. If I was comparing the texture of these to something else I’d say they most closely resemble most similar Cheetos Puffs (yum!). And the light white cheddar flavor SO yummy. The BEST thing about these is that
they are so low-calorie! There are only 520 calories in an entire chip-sized bag. While they aren’t nutritiously healthy, and 520 calories isn’t ideal for a single sit down, they are a significantly better “grab and bite” option than a lot of others.
I first got this lip balm out of curiosity. I hadn’t ever seen a lip balm shaped like a lip stick before. Now I’m so happy that I did!
Not only is this lip balm nourishing, but it also gives a very nice, glossy finish to your lips. It gives an appearance similar to a clear lip gloss, but it’s not quite as shiny and it’s not sticky at all.
Clearly, as you can see in my photo, I’ve really enjoyed this lip balm because I’ve almost used the entire tube. It’s definitely worth a try if you’re looking to try something different — especially with the weather cooling off!
As I’ve gotten older I’ve found that I’m less and less surprised by the storylines of movies and TV shows. Much to my surprise, though, Ozark has kept me guessing!
Ozark, a Netflix original, is a show about a financial advisor, Marty Byrde (Jason Bateman), who gets involved in a drug cartel and has some things not going according to plan. In order to save his family’s lives, he has to move them to the Missouri Ozarks to try to fix his mistake.
The balance of an “every day” family’s dynamic in the midst of constant threat has been extremely interesting and entertaining to watch. I’m so sad that only one season is out, but equally happy that it’s been signed for a second!
We’re all friends, right? Good, because it’s time to get real personal.
I hate wired bras so much. I always have, but after enjoying maternity bras for a year I just absolutely could NOT go back to a wired bra. Since then I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect comfortable + cute wireless combo. And finally I’ve found it!
I’ve tried other VS wireless options and never thought they were any more comfortable than other bras I’d tried. I decided to give this “lightly lined” wireless style a shot and voila — the perfect bra!
It’s supportive and comfortable but still looks sexy. It also comes in a lot of different colors, as well as some special feature options like metallic foiling and lace trim.
If you want to rip your wired bra off the minute you get in the house then I recommend trying this one! One warning: I’m small chested and have no idea how supportive or comfortable this will be for a more busty woman.
I don’t usually like beers that are super strong in flavor, but this was love at first sip! It’s a bit more hoppy than what I usually go for, but somehow as soon as the pumpkin and spice flavors hit your palette it starts to smooth itself out, giving it a perfect balance of bold yet creamy. So delicious and perfect for Halloween season!
Apparently I wasn’t the only one who loved this because it’s a local seasonal beer and it sold out in just a few weeks! But if you can manage to find some then you definitely need to try it! And if you don’t want it then I’ll gladly take it off your hands! 🙂
