5 Yes To Products to Say “Yes” To

Picture this: You’re in your 20s, living carefree and loving your life as a young, attractive woman. Aging is the last thing on your mind. And then, one morning you wake up and look in the mirror and come to a terrifying realization — you have a WRINKLE. Dun dun dunnn.

Yep, that was me about two years ago. My first wrinkle — right there in between my eyebrows. I knew it would come, but at 27? Really??

Since then I’ve actively worked on keeping my skin looking as youthful and fresh as possible for as long as possible. I’ve tried more skincare products than I can count, ranging from really cheap to wince-at-the-checkout expensive, and I’ve found that you don’t always have to spend an arm and a leg to get a great product.

One of my favorite affordable, accessible brands is Yes To. Their products are free of toxic ingredients and at least 95% natural. Their bottles are also made with recyclable materials whenever possible, which is a nice little bonus! They are SUPER affordable and you can easily find them at stores like Target, Walmart, drug stores, and Ulta.

After trying a ton of products from the Yes To range, here are my 5 favorites:

1) Yes To Tomatoes Detoxifying Charcoal Micellar Cleansing Water ($8.99)

While I’m a firm believer in washing your face every day, I’m only human. Sometimes I just do not feel like tying my hair up and sticking my face in the sink. On those days, this micellar water is PERFECT.

I’ve used the Simple Cleansing Micellar Water as a makeup remover for years. It’s a no-fuss product that doesn’t require any rinsing. I love it, BUT my skin certainly isn’t as clean after using that micellar water as it is when I wash with a cleanser. The Yes To Tomatoes Micellar Water, though, has charcoal in it which is great for detoxifying your skin. It truly cleanses without stripping your skin or drying it out.

I don’t use this every day, but I do use it the couple days a week that washing my face sounds especially unappealing — AKA when I fall asleep on the couch downstairs with makeup on and all I want to do is crawl in bed for the night.

And no! When you shake the bottle before use, the black color of the charcoal does not show up on your skin!

2) Yes To Coconut Protecting Hand & Cuticle Cream ($5.99)

I’ve been through almost four tubes of this stuff and I’m hooked. Not only does it smell like a beach vacation, but it also does literally miracles for my cuticles.

Those who’ve known me for any length of time know that I have a terrible habit of biting my cuticles. I mostly tend to bite them when they are unhealthy and peeling, though. The coconut oil in this hand cream is extremely healing and nourishing, so it keeps my cuticles moisturized and healthy, which reduces my urge to bite them (and makes my fingers look a lot prettier).

One negative to this product is the coconut oil gives more of an oily finish, rather than a creamy one. You’re be able to see and feel an oily sheen on your hands after you use it, so if that bothers you then you may not be a fan. I only use this product before bed, though, so the benefit of the coconut oil far outweighs the con of the oily hands in my book.

3) Yes To Shower Cocktail Body Wash ($5.99)

First, can we take a moment to address the cuteness of this packaging? Love it.

Beyond making you feel like the best bartender around, the Yes To body washes smell good enough to eat and create an incredible lather (so a little goes a long way). They don’t dry out your skin either, which you guys know has been a huge problem for me with other body products.

There are three scent options:

  • Coconut, Mango & Papaya
  • Grapefruit, Mandarin Orange & Kiwi (my favorite!)
  • Lemon, Ginger & Epsom Salt

I think they all smell amazing so it really just depends on what your preferences are!

4) Yes To Tomatoes Acne Fighting Paper Mask ($2.52)

Yes To created a collection of sheet masks to treat all your skincare woes individually. Different ingredients target specific issues — from detoxifying to moisturizing to brightening — so you’ll want to pick your mask based on your skincare needs.

My favorites are:

  • Yes To Tomatoes Clear Skin: I use this one to combat pimples during my girly time of the month.
  • Yes To Coconut Hydrate & Restore: I use this when my skin is dry from cold weather or getting too much sun.
  • Yes To Grapefruit Brightening: This one has Vitamin C in it and does wonders for my natural skin redness.

Yep, these masks make you look like a crazy person, but the ones I’ve used have done a great job.

Tip: These come with flaps that you’re supposed to lay over your eyes. I like to use these while I’m looking at Instagram or watching TV, though, so I just fold the flaps down and ignore that they’re there.

5) Yes To Carrots Daily Cream Cleanser ($5.29)

I’ve used this cleanser for about year and I absolutely love it. It’s super gentle and gets my face in the perfect condition to start adding vitamins and moisture back to my skin.

Because it’s so gentle, I use it solely as a cleanser — not as a makeup remover — so generally it’s used as a second cleansing step after my Simple micellar water.

This face wash is made with organic carrots, aloe vera, and shea butter, so it’s intended to be very nourishing on top of cleansing. It’s extremely creamy and feels more like a lotion than a cleanser. After you rinse, though, that moisturizing texture is completely gone.

For people with fragrance irritations, this product does have a subtle scent of carrots. I actually kind of dig it, but is something to be aware of.

  1. It’s funny, I thought your blog post title was a typo, with the “Yes to yes to” repeated! 🙂 Sadly, I did not start taking care of my skin early enough in my life, and at 59, I’m not sure any of the anti-aging products can truly help. But these products look amazing and the prices are more in line with what most average people can afford, which makes them truly appealing.

  2. I haven’t tried these Yes To products yet. They must be good, because I tried doing a research on them and all I got are positive reviews. I would want to try the masks first. Looks awesome!

  3. I thought this would be another list of really expensive products, but was pleasantly surprised by the prices! Very affordable. I should look into the cuticle cream, I am outside a lot, and my hands show it.
